Ziggy’s Long Journey Home

Ziggy was tossed out of a car and into the Las Vegas desert by her owners for some unknown reason. With a broken leg she stayed in the area for a month waiting for them to return for her, alluding rescuers. Finally, worn down from her injuries and hunger Ziggy was rescued by Heaven Can Wait Animal Society. Her ongoing story of recovery and healing will be posted until she finally finds a new family to love her.

Double Fun

Callie was rescued as a puppy with her littermates from owners that didn’t take care of them. All of the puppies were adopted, but Callie had a birth defect on her leg that needed surgery. She stayed with Heaven Can Wait for 10 months recuperating, but found a home with a family that had already adopted a dog from HCWS and had been keeping on eye on her recovery.

Brutus, A Little Chinese Wolf

Brutus was the product of a tough life and then he was given away. The Shih Tzu was rescued by Heaven Can Wait Animal Society and adopted by a family with another Shih Tzu. Together they are becoming a family.

Sammy was returned to Heaven Can Wait after being an adopted dog for 5 years. Dog Coordinators worried about adopting an older dog, but there is a perfect person for everyone.

A Home For Zoe

Carol was on a mission to adopt a dog. She knew exactly the type of dog her family needed and she knew it must be adopted from Heaven Can Wait Animal Society. Finally little dog named Zoe came into Carol’s life and together they are companions for each other.

Adopted Dog Helps Family Oversee Feral Cat Colony

Hudson is a 5 year-old lab that was dropped off at a veterinarian’s office when his owners couldn’t keep him. He was enrolled in Heaven Can Wait Animal Society’s Pups on Parole program and adopted to a family that serves as a guardian for a feral cat colony.

Little Blind “Rocky” Found His Forever Home

Rocky was abandoned at a Las Vegas dog park and had a severely damaged eye. When a Good Samaritan found him he took the Chihuahua to Heaven Can Wait Animal Society. Now Rocky has a new home with a “mom” who loves and takes care of him and his special needs.
