Little Blind “Rocky” Found His Forever Home

Rocky was abandoned at a Las Vegas dog park and had a severely damaged eye. When a Good Samaritan found him he took the Chihuahua to Heaven Can Wait Animal Society. Now Rocky has a new home with a “mom” who loves and takes care of him and his special needs.

Fish and Her New Family “Hooked” a Perfect Fit

Fish and her brother Killer were two feral kittens rescued by Heaven Can Wait Animal Society as part of ‘Operation Clean Sweep.’ Both kittens were adopted into great homes. The family who adopted Fish wrote a wonderful tribute to their new four-legged family member.

Love At First Sight

Tilly a 9-month old Boxer puppy was adopted by the Bailey family in December. A volunteer writer for Heaven Can Wait Animal Society was on hand for her adoption and has followed her transition in becoming a family pet for the past two months.

The Sweetest Dog Ever

Sheri knew she was ready to adopt a dog. It just so happened a co-worker was familiar with Heaven Can Wait Animal Society and referred her to our website. The more she learned, the more she became convinced she was going to make an adoption. She called to say she was looking for; “calm, low energy.” She ended up with the “Energizer Bunny.”

You Can’t Keep A Good Dog Down

Lacey was rescued by Heaven Can Wait and adopted, but had to be returned when the economy took a turn in Las Vegas. The Border collie didn’t let it get her down and finally a great new family came along to give her a forever home.

Felons No More

The great training and nuturing provided to homeless dogs at the famous Heaven Can Wait Animal Society Pups on Parole program has gotten the attention one Las Vegas family. They adopted one, two and now three dogs from Heaven Can Wait.

Successful Pups On Parole Grad Finds Great New Home

Marley was rescued by Heaven Can Wait Animal Society days before he was to be euthanized at a municipal animal shelter. After going through the Pups on Parole program and becoming a successful grad, Marley was adopted into his forever home.

Dog Abandoned In Foreclosed Home Gets New Start

Buttercup and Sadie are two dogs that were abandoned after their owner’s home was foreclosed. A realtor found them and sent them to Heaven Can Wait Animal Society where they found new homes.

Dog Once Used For Breeding Enjoys Being Part Of A Family

A volunteer with Heaven Can Wait Animal Society rescued an emaciated dog stranded on the side of a busy freeway. The dog had been used for breeding and was abandoned after it could no longer become pregnant. After a stint in foster care, Priscilla has become a typical, happy family dog.
